Holland’s finest and longest standing Rock band Golden Earring were around for almost 60 year! Formed as The Tornados in 1961, renamed The Golden Earrings and then shortened to Golden Earring, the band churned out hit after hit as early as their first single “Please Go” from 1965.

The band’s line-up, singer Barry Hay, guitarist George Kooymans, bassist Rinus Gerritsen and drummer Cesar Zuiderwijk, has been constant from 1970 until their unfortunate end in 2021 when Kooymans was diagnosed with ALS.

Golden Earring are one of the few Dutch rock bands that scored extremely well across the ocean with their massive hit “Radar Love”, which has become a staple on Rock radio ever since.
