Thats The Way It Is is Elvis Presleys 12th studio album, consisting of eight studio tracks recorded at the RCA studios in Nashville and four songs performed live at The International Hotel in Las Vegas. It accompanied the theatrical release of the eponymous documentary film, although it is not generally considered a soundtrack album. Just a few months after the release of the record Elvis would start his long-standing gig at The International Hotel, marking the start of his much-mythologized Vegas period which his lush jumpsuits symbolized. While he would record much more great songs after this, its with this album that he was able to capitalize on his 1968 comeback.

Thats The Way It Is is available as a limited edition of 2000 individually numbered copies on red vinyl.
