In conclusion, this album is brilliant. It was one of the first black metal albums I heard and will always be one of my favorites. While it isnt my favorite Burzum album its close to being there. This band will always be known for its controversial background, especially with Varg. But no matter what the music he put out that was pure black metal has always clicked with me personally. If youre looking to get into black metal I would recommend something along these lines. Or Filosofem, if you cant handle Varg’s ungodly maniac and harsh vocals. A true classic in black metal.
