This is some fierce Swedish death metal alright. Unfortunately, like a lot of others at the time, Vermin pulled the death ‘n’ roll card after this intense album, a style I do not care for in any way. Too bad, because this is quite the enjoyable offering of Swedeath.

Besides these little gripes, this is a good and sturdy Swedish death metal release, one of my favorites from the country, together with Comecon’s “Megatrends in Brutality” and “Shadows in the Deep” by Unleashed. It’s energetic and powerful, and it hooks it’s claws into your brain after just a few spins. If you are a fan of the Swedish death metal style and don’t know Vermin, I can recommend this album, as well as the demo compilation “Obedience to Insanity”. This is high powered stuff and will not disappoint anyone into the style.
